Hold fast to Hope

Welcome to my website! I am glad that you are here!

My name is Alex, and I would like to introduce you to my project with “Mercy Ships“. 🙂

I am a licensed Pediatric Nurse, and from August 2015 on I will work and live on board the “Africa Mercy”. She is the worlds largest non-governmental hospital-ship providing life-changing surgeries for people who don’t have the money to receive the help they need, or don’t have the chance to see a doctor. …Just because of the simple fact that there is none.

I feel so blessed, with everything I have. My ambition is to give back, to the people who very often have so little; to bring them hope.
That’s why I decided to offer my nursing skills for a service project in Madagascar.

The entire crew on board is made up of volunteers. I, as well, will be responsible for paying all costs associated with my service.

I believe that we all can make a difference in other people’s lives. There may be many ways, and they may look different for each one of us. But important is that we find a path, and walk it.
